Why: to help Salem’s new community radio station get on the air!

I always say how cool Salem is getting. Having a community radio station will make us even cooler! So, let’s get on it. Come out and help launch KMUZ! …For the Love of Radio!

KMUZ, Salem’s new and upcoming community radio station, is holding a Membership Drive kick-off event featuring local musician Lisa Nunes and guests on Monday evening, June 7th, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. at Venti’s.

The buzz going around about this event is that Lisa Nunes and featured guest Lillian Tuttle and other friends are going to perform music they fell in love with via the radio!

During the summer months and into the fall of 2010, KMUZ will be holding a number of fund-raising and consciousness-raising events to get the word out about the radio station. Our goal is to get on the air sometime this fall if at all possible.

Find out up to the minute news about KMUZ.  Learn how you can become a member, volunteer or even have your own radio show!

During the event you’ll have to chance to learn more about KMUZ, to offer ideas for possible on-air programs, to snare ‘limited edition’ items such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, tote bags and more. Become a charter member and get some great goodies depending on your level of support.
