Artist statement below:
From a young age I have illustrated my artistic strengths through painting and music. Always having a niche for creatively expressing the pure emotion of life’s beauty, my artwork and musical talents have formed an outlet for these expressions.
Being able to convey my passions through drawing, I have evolved from using cartoons, comics, and cars to creating painted works based on realism and abstract influences.
Born and raised in the Willamette Valley my surroundings have given me endless opportunities to capture the raw beauty of sunsets, mountains, ocean shores, and wildlife which I am able to extrapolate using a multitude of techniques.
As a graphic design student at Linn-Benton Community College my education broadened my horizons yielding various techniques which I found ideal to express the mood and true beauty of my surroundings.
Whether it is landscapes, abstracts, realisms, I have grown to find many ways to incorporate mood into my works.
As an artist I am able to express myself through my paintings as well as my music and have discovered a linear relationship between the two. Fueled by the power of emotion my works have evolved and continue to progress as I strive for self improvement.
As an emerging artist I take pride in knowing that this is truly just the beginning of my career and many more exciting pieces are sure to come in the near future.
